023 - This is Not Right - Text

[Slater is in no condition to go to work or do anything much at all. Returning to himself, he was left with a vague feeling of Del Boy's feelings and as odd as that would be in of itself, what Del had been feeling made him feel even worse.

It was only when he realised that his bottle had been empty that he pulled himself together enough to reach for his communicator.]

[Private to Hannibal]

That was your sister, right? Didn't make it, did she.

[Private to George]

Seeing as you're up. Get me a bottle of Paddy's whiskey. Actually, you know? Make it two.

No questions.

[Hannibal's voice sounds quite subdued, but his tone is calm and polite.]

No, sir, she did not.

That said, I owe your associate a debt of gratitude, and since he is not present, it stands to reason that you should enjoy it.

[His hands are currently damaged and he can't write.]

Thank you.

Well, around my sister I'll take a bleeding heart. As for you, feel free to call on me if you find yourself in a tight spot.

No questions?

...Oh, I suppose that's a question, isn't it.

That second bit was a question too, even if it was rhetorical. I'm sorry. I'm not very good at this game.

Where would you like me to bring it? That question is rather necessary, I'm afraid.

Your room then. Alright.

...I'm terribly sorry again, but: would you also like drinking glasses, or...?

Right. Yes. I'll just be a moment.

[Spam]

[And there is, eventually, a knock at Slater's door.]

[George takes in Slater's outfit and luckily is not Regina.]

Were you in a coma as well?

You...said no. Of them. No questions.

It's only that I believe I may have fallen prey to one during the recent flood, only I can't be sure as if I did, I did so in my room.

Yes, and so I was concerned it may have happened to you as well.

Of course. I did bring you some glasses. Just in case.

[George hands over the bottles and four glasses, because he's an optimist, clearly.]

I...suppose not.

[He continues to linger, but look: no questions!]

[George winces at the sound, and spends another few minutes hanging around awkwardly. He does eventually decide he's done all he can do for the moment, and that Mr. Slater probably needs his space. George makes the short trip back to his own room.]
